Separation of Parts

If the voice section has a clear separation of soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, etc., you can have a part for each of those voices.

If the voices are just a choir singing in unison, it is better to have just a single choir part—usually treble clef—and have all the singers sing in their comfortable ranges.

If there is a clear lead singer/soloist, you can write it as a standalone part, separate from harmony or backing vocals.
